The little free library trend has given rise to other, sweet community-helping initiatives--
I've seen little free garden plants/seeds swap kiosks, little free tools
and now I've seen a marine-themed free library!
Someone has mounted some old lobster traps and put boat-themed goodies for free or trade--lines, some cleats, etc.
The goodness of others can manifest in wonderfully whimsical ways.

@Minholkin Last year I setup a small free vegetable stand (paper bags and 'Extra Help yourself' sign)- I grow more than I eat. The little libraries in some places in town are accompanied by little food pantries. This was the idea for the vegetable stand. I met more neighbors because of that than all the years Ive lived here. This year I planted more.
You are wonderful !
@Minholkin @LnzyHou I had people wanting to pay me 'farmers market' prices - I declined last year. I may steal your idea though and suggest food pantry donations if they ask. I did get a reward of sorts from it. Lots of kids out here were grabbing tomatoes and eating them like apples, they asked what kind of tomatoes they were because they tasted good - they had never had a homegrown tomato. It also started as a protest over greedflation. Not only did I spend less but so did some others.
This inspires me — maybe I will have a “digital yard sale” in which folks can take what they like and use a posted digital contribution VR code for our local food bank.

That’s so, so important! I remember meeting a young woman around 20 years of age and she hadn’t ever had fresh fruit—it was always packaged.
