I heard on a gardening show that fresh picked asparagus is good raw. I never knew it could be eaten this way. I tried it and I may never cook it again. #Gardening
@Lucky188 Mine rarely makes it into the house.. I'm notorious for munching it raw as I pick it. LOL
Tomatoes are often eaten on the way to the house too.
@TrueBloodNet That what happened when I picked some and tried it, was gone before I made it inside. 😉
@Lucky188 I first ate 'spagus out of a can! Didn't eat them "raw" until I was an adult. One of the few vegetables that I could tolerate because I couldn't taste the dirt that they came from.

I used to snap off a stalk or 2 as I passed by the asparagus while mowing the lawn.. Very tasty.
