Gotta have ANOTHER cervical spine CT tomorrow morning. At least this time is for surgical planning instead of diagnosis, so I don't have to get that contrast that makes me feel like I'm pissing myself. 🙄
@LowEndMuse Every CT scan you have post surgery will be contrasted, (sorry)
@MidnightRider I hate it. Makes my testicles feel like they're boiling. 😂
@MidnightRider I waited a long time to address this because I really didn't want another surgery but at this point, I just want my arm to work right again.
@MidnightRider Thanks, it's a 3 level acdf with an attempt at restoring normal lordosis in my C spine.
@LowEndMuse Better than messing with the Atlas and Axis.
@LowEndMuse The restoration of the lordotic curve is likely in conjunction with releasing pressure on a compressed nerve which is responsible for your arm symptoms. A titanium appliance may be added to maintain the corrected disc space to add longevity to your repair. Other options may include a fusion but that makes the spine less flexible in that area and stresses the disc above and below the repair.
@MidnightRider Yeah, he's taking my old hardware out and replacing it with a 3 level plate.
Yeah, this surgery is partially due to adjacent segment disease, as you mentioned...from that lack of motion. 👍🏻
@LowEndMuse I understand that rabbit hole, I hope you have a wonderful outcome.
