I always regard as "weird" how we designated "the Seasons" ~ eg: why does Summer begin on the longest day of the year, and end on the Equinox?
If I were Caesar ☮️😇☮️
I'd start Summer on May 21st, a month earlier, and end it on August 21st (plus or minus a day, for both dates).
That (imo) would be more logical.
