I’ve been suppressing this inside myself, but I know you all will only help.
Our Puttycat (19) had a checkup today for his myriad of ailments: kidney and parathyroid disease, high blood pressure and a heart murmur. I was concerned about blood I noticed on his lip, which I thought was from him aggressively rubbing his head against the brush… but was unsure if it was related to a steroid he has begun taking. The vet checked his mouth and he has an angry red swollen 1/2
2/2 patch on the right back roof of his mouth 🥺 The Vet said his lymph node was swollen as well. She said eating and the steroid could aggravate the area and make it bleed.
She took cell samples and saw some bacteria but is sending them to a pathologist for cancer examination. She hopes infection but is very worried it’s cancer and so am I 😢 We’ll know next week.
He’s acting normal and has even put on some weight.
Please send him healing strengthening and loving thoughts.
