Anybody have any experience with solar powered generators? We don't want to mess with the gas powered ones and am thinking of going with solar. The ones we saw can be charged either with an outlet (when you DO have power) or using a solar panel. Suggestions anyone?

I just bought a natures generator off Amazon last year. Pkg was solar and wind. Haven't puchased tower. This spring. Works great. Just realize what you are asking of it. Size depends on output and the more you use, the faster power goes. Use mine mostly for charging electronics and lights at camp.

Thanks for this information. We need to decide before the next ice storm. This last storm we lost power for 48 hours- not too bad, but not fun either.
