Hip replacement surgeries (Jan. 10 & Feb. 28) update: Since going off all pain meds, I’ve been really sore whenever I do things, like all the physical stuff I have to do for my bakery, and it’s all soft tissue soreness. So, I started to take amino acids, even though I eat plenty of protein. It’s only been a few days, but the amino acids seem to helping - yay!! As for the off and on shooting pain in my foot, that’s my back. A new problem. Ugh. 😩 I waited too long to replace my hips.

@Brisse We just got one of those loud alerts about flash flooding, and yesterday it was tornadoes and flooding. I saw the tornado clouds for myself yesterday 😳

@JeSsA I’ve been dealing with this too, and I just started to take biotin, then amino acids. My doctor suggested a biotin supplement, and the amino acids are in response to soreness months after hip replacement surgery. I think it’s slowly starting to help, and I’ve read that amino acids can help with hair loss. We’ll see if I continue to improve! Neither one is harmful, so it’s worth a try!

@gomez_addams Sometimes we have to. Would it be okay to avoid life saving/changing pharmaceuticals for a physical problem? No. It’s the same with mental health. Give them a try, and if they don’t help, then try something else. But, I can tell you that they help. They saved my life. I’ll do whatever I need to to live this short life to the fullest.
