Hip replacement surgeries (Jan. 10 & Feb. 28) update: Since going off all pain meds, I’ve been really sore whenever I do things, like all the physical stuff I have to do for my bakery, and it’s all soft tissue soreness. So, I started to take amino acids, even though I eat plenty of protein. It’s only been a few days, but the amino acids seem to helping - yay!! As for the off and on shooting pain in my foot, that’s my back. A new problem. Ugh. 😩 I waited too long to replace my hips.
@Ironworker229 Thank you!! I don’t know what’s going on with my back yet. I see a doctor about that next month. As for my bakery, we have a lot going on! It’s great! Thank you for asking. 🥰 How are you?
@Ironworker229 I’m glad all is well at home and work is normal! That’s a good thing.
I’ll find out about my back soon enough. My hope is that my chiropractor can deal with it. I do NOT want to have back surgery.
@LindaGoodliffe Yeah, for sure- Best to avoid surgery if possible. I read a study awhile back that indicated that the success rates for back surgery vs a PT regimen were very similar. Nothing to say that you can't do the PT first and if it works, you're good/ if not then surgery is still an option. I'm sure it depends on the particular cause, though. I hope you (and your back) get good news!
@Ironworker229 Thankfully, the surgeon I’m seeing is one of the best in the world, but he won’t do surgery if I don’t really need it. Here’s hoping I don’t need it!! I wish I could afford to see my chiropractor a couple times a week. He also does PT stuff, and he’s really good. It took me forever to find him.
@LindaGoodliffe Thanks for asking, all's good here at home and work is just a barrel of fekking monkeys🐒 . Just the nature of the beast, I'm afraid. I'm so glad the baking is is booming! I hope the back issue isn't too serious.
