Post hip replacement surgeries: thanks to yoga and swimming (it’s not without its pains at this point 😩), I’m not as tight as I was. I’m still weak, though. I’m teaching myself to walk normally again, and the muscles and nerves involved in walking, because I haven’t walked normally in a few years. It’s weird.

@LindaGoodliffe

I often wonder what it’ll be like to walk “normal” again when I’m able to get my knees & hips replaced.
I’m really proud of how much you’ve accomplished!

@see_the_sus It’s emotional at first! I had no idea how bad off I really was. But, the recovery takes longer than everyone says. They make it sound like you’ll be bopping all around in two weeks. In a way that’s true, but if you have a bakery where you stand for many hours at a time (like me), and/or you want to go back to working out again, that takes a long time. I pushed it, and now I have occasional stabbing nerve pain. Also, it takes months to be able to walk truly normally again.

@LindaGoodliffe @see_the_sus Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm really happy that you're making progress and able to get back to baking!

@LindaGoodliffe

Doesn't surprise me. About the recovery time. I positively hate prescription med commercials and wish they had never been allowed.
