@Priestess @Graci SO SCREWED!!! It’s Tricia Cotham who is flipping because she’s butthurt because democrats criticized her for not showing up to support Gov. Cooper’s veto of the rethugs’ bill to do away with pistol permits. Meanwhile, her mother, Pat Cotham, is a saint, and she’s a rep too. Her mother is a democrat in word and deed (she feeds the homeless herself, etc.), and has publicly spoken out against her daughter’s intention to switch parties.
@LindaGoodliffe @Priestess they're a mess.
The political crap here is enough to make me look for another state to move to.
@Priestess @Graci Me too, but I started a bakery here after Biden was elected. I have to stay. 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
@LindaGoodliffe @Priestess next time I'm forced to go to Charlotte I'll visit
@Priestess @Graci There was a legendary blues club here??? I would be there all the time!! 😩😩😩
Double Door Inn, Charlotte NC -
The magic of the music was soaked into the wood that made the stage, the beams, and the floor, like osmosis. Other than that, there was nothing else really special about the place, but it attracted some of the most legendary blues artists in the world.
@LindaGoodliffe @Graci
Oh gosh yes! The Double Door would have a blues or rock band on the stage and from the audience they'd have Eric Clapton join them on the stage. Johnny Winters played there, or perhaps it was Edgar but I think it was Johnny.
It wasn't a fancy bar, not much for seating, but the stage was elevated and a nice place to play. It wasn't a huge nightclub but it was the place for blues in the coastal states on the southeast.
