Hey CoSo, help referee a disagreement.

Is there a non-random distribution of people in the US refusing to wear masks, or is every kind of person refusing to wear masks?

@yogapaddlerun in my neck of the woods it is complete random and every kind of person.

@LibertySpeaks Interesting. Where I am most of the time are areas with an above average percentage of healthcare workers, even my neighborhood. It is very rare to even see someone not wearing a mask.

@yogapaddlerun My area is a mishmash of everybody. Blue collar, white collar, retirees, students, normal everyday joes. Low to high income. I pay attn to everything around me. I do all the shopping and errand running so I'm out there by myself so I observe and listen. conversations in lines, random chats in parking lots. consensus if pretty much the same. people are tired of the mandates and restrictions on their lives and I feel that vibe everytime I leave the house

@LibertySpeaks @yogapaddlerun

I would say that many folks near me feel the same, but enough people "know someone" who became ill that the fear of the virus supersedes the frustration of the limitations.

And there are so many stressors with which folks are contending lately--everyone's coping is challenged.

@Minholkin @LibertySpeaks It is hard for us to rate risk properly until it gets in our bubble. Without the framework of understanding the limitations feel unnecessary.
