From a purely political point of view, it's beneficial to the Harris-Walz campaign to extend the widest possible umbrella.

Unfortunately for my stomach, that sometimes includes getting support from people who, at least in the past, have said and done really horrible things, and who are now not so much supporting Harris as opposing TFG, because they see no future for themselves or their protégés in the current Trump-controlled R party.
