I've never been of the Right.
I used to consider myself of the Left. But no longer. Not for many years. The Left as it exists today is as much a welter of sociopathy as the Right. Both have a hatred of American democracy, and democracy in general. Yes, I'm that liberal that both of them abhor. And I'm proud of that.

@TwiHusband Oh, he was always bad, I just had an intellectual crush on him. When I read his defense of the Pol Pot regime and downplaying the Khmer Rouge genocide, it was a clarion call for me.
@LiberalLibrarian One of the standard features of the Left is the Napoleonic riff, that you can't make on omelet without breaking some eggs. As one of the eggs in question, I refuse to be broken in their service.
