Two threads on why Jon Stewart has been awful for our politics.
I'll admit I was a fan for a while. But when there feud with Wyatt Cenac came out, I saw him as petty.
No matter what, he was in a leadership position over Cenac and the similar naming of his show to Cenac's smacks of pettiness.

And this goes for shows like "Have I Got News For You". Snarky distance on things which are deadly serious just turns the audiences of these programs into apathetic lumps.
