@LiberalLibrarian My father apologized for not being there before he died. And that was over 30 years ago. My mother was too far gone before she died. It was horrible but I was there and put up favorite pictures, pretty flowers, and played favorite music and shows. I forgave them both. I haven't really come to terms with what happened to her yet. I'm sorry the writer experienced this but thank you for sharing. I think there's a lot of us.
