We just got back from picking up my wife's sister at LAX. What an utter clusterfuck that place is. In a year or two all the construction will be done, but holy moly it was stressful.
@LiberalLibrarian Here's hoping that the construction is done well so that you're not having to deal with that 5 years from now when they need to tear it up and replace it.
@sentientdessert I live right next to the airport, and the infrastructure going up is unreal. They eminent domained and razed an entire neighborhood, and are in the last stages of building an offsite parking lot and rental car center. A people mover will take you from that to the terminals. And once the people mover is set, then the last two stations of the new Crenshaw Line light rail will be opened. This is all for the World Cup in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028.
