Oh my heart.
A gentleman just came to the reference desk, asking if the library had any literacy programs. He can neither read nor write. I told him that sadly, no, we don't. But to try out local community college and see what adult programs they had. He was with another gentleman, so he has a support system to help him achieve his goals.

I hope he finds help! I can't imagine not being able to read or write and wanting to, especially as an adult.
