@Nimthiriel I think once you're at one end of the horseshoe, and you feel like you're being oppressed, it's a logical progression to the other end. However, in the examples I've seen, it only ever moves from left to right. I've never seen a fascist become a communist or leftist.
@LiberalLibrarian I can think of two or three possible explanations. Either they fall for conspiratorial thinking,
Or the left doesnβt satisfy their craving for the pay-off from anger, or they find that left-wing ideals are no longer of material benefit to them as an individual as opposed to as a member of society
