Remember #CosoNewbies: If you're posting pics from your phone, either take the pictures in landscape, or make a small edit, save, and then upload. Otherwise, they'll load sideways. This is yet another security feature built into CoSo so that no one can track you by your picture's metadata.
@LiberalLibrarian @LiberalLibrarian I'm struggling to figure out why photo orientation would strip image metadata from a photo upload. I couldn't find any documentation that speaks to this app removing image metadata by any means.
@LiberalLibrarian i’ve not heard about that happening before. Genuine question, how does posting pictures in landscape help avoid people tracking you via your picture’s metadata?
@jazzdetective It doesn't, it just posts correctly if you take it in landscape. Again, this is only for phones, either Android or iPhone. This is NOT an issue with a computer.
