This little guy arrived today. I paid $15 and I'm glad to have him. His doors don't stay open and he's too wobbly to be a good racer, but he's a placeholder until I get rich. I really like this model, a vintage redline from the early 70s, but well-preserved specimens sell for upwards of $200. Sell, mind you, in bidding wars. That's a lot of gas stations to knock over to pay for a hobby.

@pr10n wish I had all of my Hot Wheels and track from the early 70s, my grandson loves Hot Wheels

@LexVol I love Hot Wheels anyway, but when my grandson got into them (I mean he's three so he's not very serious yet) it was such an unlooked for bonus!

@pr10n My grandson is 2 this is his favorite toy, it’s not really made for Hot Wheels card but that’s what he uses the most. I’m getting him some real tracks for Christmas 🎄

@LexVol love it! I went to see my grandson last year. When I arrived I presented him with a VW bug, his favorite car. When we left I think he knew we were sad, so he brought me a car from his collection. It's on my desk right this second. We definitely have a bond over little cars.
