Cringeworthy in the Future

The New York Times asked me (and others) to suggest some things our descendants might be embarrassed about in the future. Things we do now, that might make future generations cringe.

Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish children escape the Nazis. His efforts went unrecognized for 50 years.
1988 while sitting as a member of a TV audience, he suddenly found himself surrounded by the kids he’d rescued, now adults.

One of the children Nicholas saved was Leslie Brent. He went into medicine, and went on to become one of the world's top immunologists who pioneered organ transplants.

Millions of people are alive today because of him.
