@Jimboses not hedging. I deactivated my Twitter as soon as Musk officially took over. Twitter is dead to me now.
Folks! Current early voter turnout for Democrats is surpassing expectations. We need to keep this energy up. Every vote counts. Tonight, we go LIVE with TargetSmart's Tom Bonier to discuss the latest Midterm Election data. Join us at 8p ET/5p PT here: https://youtu.be/1FIya0JPVoc
@DrSnit Not a pancake enthusiast but we are definitely having comfort food - sausage gravy (made with hot italian sausage) and biscuits. So kind of breakfast food - but definitely not sweet but spicy.
Elon Musk declared himself as supporting the Republicans.
I don't care who he personally votes for but by declaring it publicly he has in effect said that Twitter will lean GOP.
Since it is now officially a biased site it is even harder to support it.
@DavidSalo They own your data. Always did. You are the product not the customer there. The best thing you can do is just deactivate your account and walk away.... they get paid for having accounts (active or not) so deactivating is the most impact you can have as you exit the door.

2 days to go.
How are your feeling about the chances of our Democracy surviving? I am cautiously optimistic. Oklahoma hasn't been this close to flipping some races blue since I moved here.
@BlueFirecracker I am also cautiously optimistic but totally stressed out about it. Looking forward to the conclusion of all this, but dreading it too. Too much PTS from 2016 I think. #politics
@Delawarekathy The Community Firehose - is literally everything anyone posts unless you have something specifically filtered out. Notifications - tells you if someone has favorited a post / comment you have made or if they boosted something you posted. My Friends - is the column most like your old Twitter feed. My Friends is where you see things posted by people you follow. If you boost something that someone else posts it will show up in your friends "My Friends" column.
@Absinthe That is just astoundingly awful! Letting someone go from the company is always hard, but honestly joking about it in the email that fires them?! Not even the courtesy of being notified in a respectful manner. Some evil stuff going on there.

@Frank_SoC I did a little reading up on sentiment monitoring on social media sites.. it gathers data on what is being talked about and determines the general mood of the social group.
@erynalyson I went through about 2 days of serious Twitter withdrawal after I deactivated my account, but honestly it was the right thing to do and it was time.
@erynalyson Actually, leaving sticks it to the man. Having an active account even if not used - is monetized by the site owner. I deactivated my account and made a clean break of it when he officially took control of Twitter.
@Render @Desmblake I sincerely hope you are right about that.
@knittymag How recently did you go pro? It took approximately an hour for everything to get updated for me when I went Pro. Not sure if it was just the wave of new people etc., or if that is normal.
@knittymag If I understand what you are asking correctly, being able to link to your profile page is only an option for members here that are pro accounts. It's called your landing page and you have more on display and can link to it.
@MysteryRider Honestly, my experience here is that people do not post a lot of memes (or gifs) because you have to manually load them in - which is good - keeps that stuff down to a reasonable level.
@Desmblake @Render I think it is a trap.
