The more I’m off of Twitter the more I realize the black hole of neediness for affirmation it fed. Facebook and Instagram are both hotbeds for like-collectors, but on Twitter people literally beg for followers to get them to a certain number. It’s not about exchange or dialogue, only status.

@Michi_Blue I always hated that hunt for followers stuff on the bird site. I never participated in it because I thought it was just stupid.
