Japanese symbol for Peace cut out in air dry. Now have to wait for this to dry thoroughly before I fine sand to a better join and finish. Off out to the pub for a cider and a bite to eat.

Yayyyy finished, a few disappointments but basically happy with this. Next, the Japanese word for peace inside a cherry blossom frame. Night night 😴

Not as unbalanced as I first thought it would be, shaping up nicely, as I had it in my imagination.

Hoping the dimensions balance out on this piece when all of the rose leaves surround it. Measured as closely as I could but atm it feels a touch discombobulated

This piece which was intended as a first trial and error effort for my OM symbol template wall plaque turns out to be salvageable with a little fine sanding.

Cutting and shaping the components of the Om symbol. This practice piece leaves a lot to be desired, shall have another go tomorrow, trial and error for the win.

Top has pretty much dried out now, ready to fill in any cracks and sand out faults and she will be ready to go into bubble wrap with the others ready for the mass silicone moulding exercise next month. Next on my wall plaque sculpting to-do list is an oval with a central Om symbol bordered with leaves and cherry blossom. Peace out ✌️

The downside to working with air dry clay is it dries far too quickly so you have to work at double quick speed

Good Morning from LadyT towers aka ROSARON. Busy day today, I need to go into the engine bay to find out why my inverter has stopped working but before that I'm going to be working on my latest template wall plaque in air dry clay. Have the dry stone wall effect, now constructing the Fertility Goddess which is going onto it. Have a great day CoSo family sending peace and pure positive energy 🙏

Out and about collecting samples of leaves with a prominent and sturdy vein system. When pressed onto wet clay they will form a realistic impression which gives the work gravitas.

Test piece completed, a week to air dry completely and then I can go onto the next stage of making a silicone mould

I could never explain the joy I feel when I'm creating. Putting together a small template for a tester plaque so that I can learn and refine the process of making moulds and then recreating in plaster. I can see the finished product and the colour scheme so clearly.

For lots of reasons I cannot create my jewellery from Fimo. Not to be deterred I spied some air dry and thought 'ahhhh, the jewellery turned into wall plaques. Sculpt, make mould, create plaster plaques, paint, add to stock'. No matter what road blocks you come up against there is always a slip road or junction you can take which will get you back onto your pathway. Peace out ✌️

I see so much artwork based on which is amazing in its complexity and colour but I prefer to keep it simple with black ink

I'm a natural wanderer living on a narrowboat. I put up with winters aboard because of days like this. Chin chin
