Trump vs Jack Smith. I would love to see #Trump held accountable for his crimes but one thing he HAS achieved to showing the world how fragile the US is. The country wouldn't dare risk putting him in prison. This investigation will go the same way as Mueller. And he will continue to abuse, threaten, slander and lie because their are no consequences, his right to do this is written into the constitution and is held sacred. Its this sacred 'right' which will break the country.
I believe he will become president again, and the level of denial from Democrats about this is putting the whole world in danger. Until the US is strong enough to admit that it is not the beacon of hope, strength and democracy that it has always believed itself to be it will continue to fracture and bring the world down with it. It's fragile tentacles are holding up too many countries financially for it not to be so. Strength is in admitting and addressing weaknesses not in denial.

@MidnightRider it's pitiful to watch, the whole world can see what is happening. The biggest undoing and the hammer that finally breaks the country won't be guns, it will be the undying defence that the sacred right to 'free speech' and the arrogance surrounding it is where US strength lies. Until those who lie, slander, bully, threaten are held accountable the downward spiral will continue. That a criminal could technically win the presidency from prison is worthy of a 3rd world country.

@LadyT I feel exceptionally lucky for the time frame in which my life took place. I saw the world in better times and it wasn't exclusively because I was looking through younger eyes.
@MidnightRider who honestly saw any of this coming? Climate change has been warned about for decades, the 60s and 70s started the rumbling about it so some signs were there. But who would have predicted that the countries that defeated Germany and Japan in the 1940s would ultimately self destruct?
