What can we do to change things? First we have to stop wanting to return to some mythical past nirvana. All we can do is find an alternative way of life based on love for the Earth, based on peace, on love and authenticity. All we can do is stand as a beacon of light for those looking to escape and change things. It's a slow transition and there will be a parallel world of greed manipulation, abuse and exploration running alongside, but........
....being the change we want to see as individuals has more power behind it than millions rising up in revolution.
@Anouk it is. We seriously underestimate our individual power to effect change
@LadyT Some of us have been around for one or more revolutions. I must respectfully and humbly say, from personal experience, that millions rising up in revolution does have more power behind it than people quietly growing as adult domestic humans.
For good or ill, collective and drastic action often upends societies, civilizations, technologies.
People are stronger together. Not always smarter or nicer, though.
Self knowledge should be a prerequisite for collective action, though, for sure.
@AskTheDevil your point is valid but changes made in rising revolutions are fleeting and shallow. Its a mindset which has greater staying power than whipping up of emotion
