Watching the film Hair, brilliant film based on a groundbreaking stage show

@LadyT Finally watched it couple years ago without knowing anything about it. The end is still stuck in my head.

@HealingHobbit yes indeed, although I'm English I remember when the Vietnam War ended. That scene where the plane flies off then you see the graves. Chilling

@LadyT My thing was that the one who didn't want to fight was the one who did and died. No prep, no training...just awful. And yeah, I'm old enough to remember the war on TV. 🥺

@HealingHobbit yes! His face filled with terror, a twist no one saw coming

@LadyT
Oh, my...
Thanks for the memories...
I was fortunate enough to see Hair when it opened on Broadway in the late 60's.
Thanks for bringing that amazing experience back to me, Lady T!

@cjtownsend I was born in 63, but the music was something I grew up with, not having 24 hr TV we listened to the radio a lot, as I grew up I realised how relevant the stage show was, it was groundbreaking because of the nudity and depictions of free love and sex. I wonder if the ethos of those times and that show have disappeared? We seem to be more obsessed with convention and mainstream 'attractiveness' than ever before

@LadyT
I think you're absolutely correct. The 'ethos' of those days do seem to have disappeared. Today it seems to be all about 'facade', not substance, truth and honesty.
"Those were the days..."
I'm so incredibly glad I experienced them.
Again, "Thanks for the memories..." You absolutely made my day!
