Not a basketball ball fan, but the combined score of Lakers/Blazers was 242. Kobe and Gigi's numbers.

I think something similar happened when the Angels pitcher died last year.

There's magic in sports.

God of War. A franchise that didn't necessarily need a sequel, much less a reboot in a whole separate mythology, is 4 for 4. These games have been fantastic. The next game(s) that happen in Norse have a lot to live up to, but I don't know of another franchise that I'd be confident could pull it off. Maybe Rocksteady if the did more DC/JLA games, but that's a hard maybe.

Kobe's death has brought on a very fascinating discussion on how some choose to remember others who have done a lot of good, but also some really bad. Especially in the Me Too era. You can be mad at him for everything that happened in Colorado but still feel terrible for the loss that Vanessa and surviving children are going through.

We can't tell others how to feel, but we do what we should always do. Either agree OR be sympathetic to an opposing views.

The backlash of Joe Rogan's "endorsement" of Bernie in the face of a movement like "vote blue no matter who" is fantastic.

Splintering just like 2004.

I still think the best course of action is for Bernie to work with AOC. Groom her 4 years. The timelines do line up where she could get reelected and then be free of Congress in time for her inauguration.

Age? Sure she'd win at age 34, but she'd be 35 by her inauguration.

Mr Peanut didn't die...he just became roasted.

Defense wins games. I like Mahomes, but I think it'll be the 49ers.

That said, a KC victory would then be well earned. Here's hoping!

I'm mixed because KC beat the Mets in the World Series...but Mahomes' Dad was Met.

I limit myself to playing video games only during the winter, but I'm realizing that wireless controllers-with their battery-also throttle my play time on occasion. This helps me kind of manage the time I spend playing.

(Also, when it starts to hurt my head one way or the other)

Carlos Beltran got screwed and the Wilpons are cowards obsessed with headlines.

MLB did Beltran dirty by naming him.

Mets fire him and we're out a Manager a month before Spring Training.

We retain him and it seemingly splits the fan base.

Lose/Lose. Infuriating.

Guess baseball season is starting a little early in New England this year!

Wandavision had it's release push UP to this year. Tells me they really like what they have. This is a good thing.

The Has Fallen Trilogy with King Leonidas is criminally underrated and built around his trusted relationship with President Freeman which really helps some of the story telling.

That said, the 3rd entry suffers from some bad cgi and obvious casting (you know who the bad guys are and just wait for it to come together). However, those are nitpicks. Die Hard will forever be the greatest action movie and best Christmas movie, but there is a good argument that Has Fallen is superior.

Why does tequila make me crave nachos?

If you didn't enjoy Star Wars 9 and can't articulate what you EXPECTED or WANTED to happen going into it, then I'm not sure you knew what you wanted.

And when you don't know what you want, are you ever going to get it?

Saying what you would have changed about the final product is too easy.

A few things:
1. I'll never understand why he is running under the same party that screwed him last time.
2. Bernie is the type to run more squarely on ideals than party (this is part of why he claims Independent as Senator) yet changes affiliation JUST TO RUN.
3. If Bernie gets the nomination or election, it's a dangerous pendulum swing in the complete opposite direction. Feels more like retribution than correction. Groom AOC for organic change over time.

Expectations are low for Ep 9. Sucks that a nerd movie can't bring everyone together anymore. The plus side is that it sounds better for casuals than lore nerds. Also a positive is going in with low expectations... hopefully it will impress... whenever...I... decide...to... actually...see...it...

Somewhat decisive, but plenty of folks needing to sleep on it and see it again today. I'm cautiously optimistic that Episode 9 will largely please all. No movie is without it's faults, but TFA and TLJ ushered in the Fandom Menace and I do not look forward to that renewed debate this week.
