Ugh, there has been a solid mix of manufactured Brewer runs to go along with poor and/or unlucky fielding.

Hate that blocking the bag is illegal for defense, but it's impressive that the Brewers are running aggressively on a pitcher that has a good pick off movie.

Mets (fans) needed another good heel and my god do we have one with Rhys Hoskins. Even better that he used to be a Phillie. It just fits.

Rhys not only leans into it, but he hurts us.

And as I type this, the man grounds into an inning ending bases loaded double play. Yahtzee.

A tale as old as time: Mets contact is weak infield or perfectly aimed flyouts.

Even as the Brewers bring a reliever out for a third inning, the Mets are sill doing what they are best at early in the season. Can't tell if we are unlucky/bad or if the Brewers are lucky/good.

I'd be more excited by Marte getting a 2 out double with Alvarez up if it wasn't a 3 run gap (with 2 outs in the 8th).

Alvy had the plate get painted on him. Brutal. Perhaps a walk off though?

Swept. So...159-3?

As the Mets announcers are saying the veterans are going to come around and warm up, it's stuff like this that you look at in September when five teams are within two games of each other for Division and Wild Card.

Then again, we won 100 a few years ago and were out in the first round.
