Thanks -- yes, it was unfortunate.

On what you said:
"I do prefer watching at home, where I can control the sound, put on closed captions, pause whenever I want, etc."

I entirely agree. And it's not like 20 or so years ago, when the average size of a tv at home was perhaps 32" and decent sound was also more expensive. Now 70" screens are affordable as are decent sound systems, sufficiently good for most people, anyway.

Going to the movies is almost an inconvenience.

Diving deep into , network protocol analysis and network forensics. Mostly because I find it interesting, but I also have an issue I want to resolve.

The breadth and quality of information and training available online, for free, is pretty astounding!

I don't go to the movies, anymore.

I stopped going since 2017, when i saw Blade Runner 2049.

I remember the sound pressure hurting my ears. I had to put my fingers in my ears to block the sound. It was the first time in the cinema that I really felt scared by the excessive volume.

Since that day, I've had in my left ear.

And that's why I'm not going to the movies anymore. I don't care if the movie is "meant to be seen in IMAX format" etc.

I'll watch it in the comfort of my home.

Father Ted is one of the funniest sitcoms ever made!

S2E1 'Hell' had me in stiches! 😂

That's TP-Link tech support, of course.

Having a bit of a problem with push notifications not working on my Tapo C200 security cameras. I've been in contact with Tapo tech support and they've been very helpful, but the problem remains.

I'm in a process of analysing the traffic with , but to be able to capture at the router, I need to change my a bit. I've order a couple of bits of new gear, a port mirroring switch being one of them.

We'll see how it goes!

I'm at our summer house in the middle of the , and I've got a new LTE router, which seems to have crap LTE antennae. The closest tower is only 1.7 km away, but the bastard keeps occasionally picking up another one some 12 km away. Go figure.

Anyway, I get absolute crap down/up speeds. Worse than ever.

So, I ordered an external directional LTE antenna -- well, it's a two antenna combo (Iskra P-60 Unicom MIMO, 600-3900 MHz, 2 x 10,5 dBi).

That should do the trick!

Back to our "summer" house in the for a long weekend.

I love it here -- the solitude. Close to nature. The archipelago sea. And a lifestyle that harkens back to days that are gone.

And the last for this evening, what I consider to be the greatest concept album of all time:

Electric Light Orchestra -- TIME

Plus the "forgotten" bonus track that completes the narrative:

G'night.

Evening falls. Listening to some great tunes before calling it a day.

Playing now: Clannad -- Mystery Game.

Lilith beckons me.

And I will answer her call.

And I will be her undoing.

It was a beautiful day in the today. On our way back earlier today, from a long weekend at our summer house.

The past few weeks have been stressful, so I’m glad to be back to our summer house in the for a few days.

This is where I can unwind.

I need to vent a bit: Elon Musk is a fuckwit and a despicable person

There’s more, but I can’t be arsed now.

Experimenting with .

This was a simple prompt, inspired by the legendary games, without referencing Thief games, or stealth games in general. I can only imagine what can be generated with more advanced and nuanced prompting.

I'm well impressed!
