Old: Covid
new: Bird flu
Next: Mpox
2nd Stinky Presidency, double pandemics!
https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/16/health/mpox-clade1-california-first
"While outbreaks of clade I mpox used to have death rates around 3%-11%, more recent outbreaks have had death rates as low as approximately 1% when patients received good medical oversight and supportive clinical care. Death rates are expected to be much lower in countries with stronger healthcare systems and treatment options, including the United States.”
So, under 45/7, we're looking at 3%-11%, I guess. 🤷♀️
I'm still more concerned about bird flu, tbh.
I just ordered (and received) another case of 200 N95 masks, because we never stopped wearing them in public anyway.
Yes. But there is a big anti vaccine movement including the future secretary of HHS. Might be vaccines but there needs to be funding to make and distribute them. As well as PR so people actually want them
Going to be a lot of unnecessary sick and dying people
@Kinnison Absolutely.
@Kinnison MPox has been here. There is already a vaccine.
