OH crap

Trump is going to be in my area, downtown LaCrosse, WI thursday doing a "Town hall" at the local convention center.

FYI, there is no real parking downtown.

Ffffffffffffffffuck.

@Iveyjanette1

been search job boards in the area. not seeing anything yet. There is a pretty good temp hire agency here. Team Trump has been in the area before so they probably got a good plan

@Kinnison Hopefully their checks or gift cards didn't bounce. They'll probably bus in Blacks from Milwaukee,Chicago and Minneapolis to stand behind Trump and hold signs for $100 and some cold sandwiches.

@Iveyjanette1 @Kinnison
It's conceivable there are a dozen Black people in the entire arena, and they are complimented instead of insulted to be given T-shirts and put on display right behind Trump. I've never seen anyone do an identification of any of those people to see if they're actors or really Trump fans, or if it's the same people city after city. A lot of people became fans when he had his TV show.

@AlphaCentauri @Kinnison Unfortunately. My aunt was a fan of The Apprentice and would have voted for him had she lived. There's quite a few folks in the hood who stupidly live him because of the show AND because they liken him to gangbangers and pimps and folks who hang at the pool hall and the barbershop or on street corners.

@Iveyjanette1 @Kinnison
Yeah, I'm glad I never had to learn whether my dad would have supported him. He changed to supporting Reagan after opposing him and his voodoo economics in the primary.

My brothers wife listened to Rush Limbaugh, and even tho she is smart she got Red Pilled by the information bubble she created. It rubbed off on him

Depending on when I get done with work I might be able to drive by the arena after the doors open.

Really tempted to do some Johnny on the spot reporting

@Kinnison @Iveyjanette1
All the "crowd size" shots are of questionable context. We aren't told when they were taken in relationship to the start of the event. If you could do a series of panoramic views and make a time lapse it would be cool -- how many people there before, at the beginning, and later on as it continues to drone on.

@AlphaCentauri @Kinnison A lot of it is empty seats. And that doesn't include the people who walk out during Trump's greatest hit encores.

@Kinnison @AlphaCentauri My ex worshipped Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. To the point where he started believing the birther and Tea Party bullshit after Obama was elected. I gave him an ultimatum: either me or the Tea Party and Fox News. He picked Fox News. I dumped him after 13 years.

@Iveyjanette1 @Kinnison
uggh, that must have been awful to watch your relationship degenerate because of those rage farmers.

@AlphaCentauri @Kinnison It was awful. He started forcing me to watch Fox News instead of the local news. And started using a lot of derogatory language towards minorities and LGBTQ+. We were long-distance for a long time after I moved from LA to Albuquerque. The final straw was when he walked into the living room and turned off the Dodgers game I was watching to watch Bill O'Reilly without asking me. Then he dissed Vin Scully. That was it.

@Iveyjanette1 @Kinnison

Glad you got out of that relationship before the lack of respect got even worse.

@AlphaCentauri @Kinnison In my family,dissing Vin Scully was tantamount to dissing God. I'm sure that was true in millions of other families around Los Angeles. My ex dissed athletes as "overpaid crybabies", and announcers like Vin as "loudmouths who use cliches and don't shut up". He also weighed 400 lbs and wore a bad toupee. He had a heart attack not long after I dumped him. Karma.

@AlphaCentauri @Iveyjanette1

the last straw for me was when my brother started calling for Planned parenthood to be shut down.

He didn't like it when I told him the only Pre/post Natal care OUR mother had was from Planned parenthood, he was a preemie and probably would have died, or had major health issues without PP

@Kinnison @AlphaCentauri My ex also said the same thing. Plus he was a member of a breakaway group of Catholics who hated the Pope and everything he stood for. I got pregnant 6 weeks after my mom passed,only to miscarry at 8 weeks at age 41. His attitude towards being a dad was nonchalant: "I'd be a lousy father",even though I mentioned that; at least BE there for your child,since my dad and my brother's dad weren't there for us.
