Gov. Phil Murphy intends to appoint George S. Helmy, his former chief of staff, to the United States Senate to replace Bob "Gold bar" #Menendez who was convicted of fraud, the New Jersey Globe has confirmed.

as per the link, unless you are in NJ and familiar with the Gov Staff you would probably never know Helmy. Kind of a crony placement
Menendez already announced he is resigning Aug 20th
@Kinnison never heard of Helmy ,and Menendez hasn't resigned yet. Can he be Sentor from prison?
