Yesterday Trump said : The gag order is preventing me from Testifying *looks at lawyer* *lawyer nods head*
just moments ago:
Justice Merchan: Before we put the witness on the stand, I want to clarify to Mr. Trump that you have an absolute right to testify at trial. The order restricting extrajudicial statements does not limit what you can say from the stand. That's why it's called "extrajudicial" statement.
Justice Merchan planned to excuse the jurors for the day. He disappeared from the bench, and when he returned he announced that he had just received a note from the jurors at 4:20 pm. The note said: "We the jury have a verdict."
The jury has asked Judge Merchan for 30 minutes to complete the forms, and he is granting their request. He has also warned all assembled that no outbursts will be tolerated upon the reading of the verdict
Trump's sentencing will be on July 11, four days before the July 15 Republican National Convention to choose the Republican nominee for U.S. president.
