A NY judge has allowed a case to proceed against #Meta, #Snap, #YouTube, #Twitch, #4Chan, #Discord, & #reddit for the role each company played in radicalizing the Buffalo Tops Grocery store shooter. According to the judge, the defendants have "viable causes of action under a products liability theory."
By allowing platforms to be considered as products, the judge departs from decades of deference to #Section230
