TBH. i think they are charging him because they are worried he will have to give disposition to Hunter Biden. and they pretty much tried to burn every single Russian contact he had in the indictment to try and make sure he stayed in jail.
But sadly. Lying to the FBI is not a good reason to be held pre-trial. and reasonable things like House arrest and GPS monitor while minimal unless Judge is proven wrong
