according to the SD Governor, Texas was part of the original 13 colonies that signed the constitution. Must be why that big blue square is on the flag

@Kinnison Texas only joined US out of fear of Mexico, and then it didn't stay long and joined the Confederacy and had to have their asses handed to them.
They had no part in drafting our constitution.
