If you can get a notice that you are eligible for the draft at age 18. You should also be automatically registered to vote at the same time

@Kinnison Oregon passed the Motor Voter Act. When you get or renew your driver's license, you're automatically registered to vote. You can opt out if you don't want that for some reason, but the default is you get to vote.
There are so many things we could do to make voting easier. Some people just don't want that.
