I mainly used twitter to follow Sci-fi authors, investigative journalists, and science communicators. My "Tweets" got hardly any interaction, even if i got more then 100 followers. I dont look for trends or look outside my followers, rarely look at replies.
Best thing to happen there was Mark Hamill liking one of my Tweets, but the rest could disappear and i wouldn't miss it.
@Kinnison There is a lot more personal interaction on here rather than a lot of people following one person and only a few commentors getting noticed
@Kinnison Same. Twitter was always more news/interest aggregator for me than interactive. The only time my comments ever seemed to generate 'conversation' was when the flying monkeys got agitated. 🤷♂️
I will still use the bird site, but I am no longer interacting it beyond passive reading.
