After using a square shovel and snow shovel to find my steps (didn't even make it to the mailbox), the kind gentleman from the university grounds crew helped me out with their SKIP LOADER. Best 2 words ever! I should bake him something, but what? π€

Goal for the day:
Dig out mailbox and walkway so I can receive mail and Amazon deliveries. Plow drivers here suck. I'm not even going to try to unblock the driveway π (No, the university maintenance crew didn't use their cool equipment on the sidewalk. Yet π€)

Looks like I'll be digging out later this morning. For reference, the spruce is about 12-15' tall.
#Blizzard I've already shoveled my back door 10 times. I gave up on the front....I had the sidewalk done. At least it hasn't reached the snow height from Christmas. It's still very much a thing. Sure glad I didn't move to North Dakota! π₯Άπ

I'm switching up my first morning coffee for a few cups of #greentea (Lowers cholesterol). This new ritual has the tea brewed and drank from a Chinese gaiwan tea cup.
Gaiwan Cup Meaning
The bottom symbolizes the earth; the bowl symbolizes the human being; the cover stands for the sky. Together they form the unity of man and nature under the sky (倩ε°δΊΊε). In Chinese thought, this is the ultimate harmony and the highest objective to aim at.

#ValentinesDay has always been a special day. It was a celebration of the amazing love my parent's had for each other and the family that grew from their love. (Kid POV we got to eat out and have dessert π)

Prior to CoSo opening to the public we shared a morning #coffee and #conversation tradition to start our day and ended it with a Walton's style goodnight.
Our lives get busy so we (pointing at myself here) pass on the small traditions that establish and maintain a community bond, like #MorningCoffee . So, (drated ADHD) I'll be setting a morning alarm to remind me to participate on the regular.

It's been awhile, hope y'all are well. I still have 2' of snow yet the ice dams are melting. π
One of my neighbors used their ginormous snow blower to clear a path to my car and out to the main road last night. I don't know who it was to thank them. #thankful

No Travel Advised in the City of Mitchell, SD
The Mitchell Police Department is recommending no travel in the City of Mitchell. Due to deteriorating conditions, Public Works has taken plows off the roads due to extremely poor visibility. Plows will remain off the roads until visibility improves.

It's starting off with a snow storm that's accumulating at about 1-2"/hr. Much need moisture, so I won't complain.
My wind tattered attempt at a greenhouse shows how wind speed here tears apart 6 mil greenhouse plastic. An expensive lesson learned. π± (Left raised bed with remaining shade cloth intact)
