You hate it, and yet you bust your butt making it an option for the kind of people who flit in and don't give the current set up a chance before bitching about it. You prioritize making them feel comfortable enough to actually settle in properly.
And that's the difference between a social media site that exists to provide a service to its users, as opposed to one where the users are there to be exploited by the social media site.

PREVIEW - I've noticed a lot of folks after leaving Twitter saying they can't get used to the column layout on https://counter.social - so coming soon (prob within a week) in both light and dark modes you'll be able to optionally switch to this mode if it helps with familiarity....
