Whom ever you decide to vote for is your right & choice.
You don't have to agree with them.
But if it changes a friendship because you don't agree with them & they accept your choice to vote whom you want while you won't accept their choice?
You don't deserve their friendship.
Acceptance is not conditional. Ether you do, or dont.
@KathMcGill yeah, i choose not to have racists, homophobes, & misogynists w/in my inner circle.
if they vote for racists, homophobes, & misogynists, that tells me about their values.
if their values don't align w/ mine, i don't want them in my company.
that doesn't mean i'm going out & shooting them. they just won't have the wondrous oppty to be friends w/ me.
that is what it means to live in a free & democractic society, n'est pas?
@singlemaltgirl
Would you vote for a person who was responsible for euthanasia of the elderly, infirm and disabled.?
Every individual has the right to vote for anyone.
Condemning them for exercising that right goes against the democratic principal.
The person who you became friends with isn't any different because of their beliefs. They were the same person all along that you became friends with.
Hating them for that is no different than being a homophobic / misogynistic person.
@KathMcGill not condemning. they have the right to vote for anyone they wish.
i just don't want to be around peeps who don't share the same values as i do.
hate & not wanting to be around peeps who are hateful are not the same things. i respect their right to exist. unlike homophobes, racists or misogynists who don't believe pocs, gays, or women should exist or have the same rights as them.
sometimes hateful peeps hide their hate really well. until they decide to stop hiding it.
