The Quiverfull movement utilizes some of the same methods as those
of the Twelve Tribes, but Quiverfull also plays a longer, more political
game by educating their children in political debate and politics, and
by giving birth to enough children to gain greater political influence
(Crank, 2005). #ChristianNationalists
While the groups I have written about have been evangelical and fundamentalist protestants, a few Catholic or Catholic adjacent groups have similar beliefs. For instance, Justice Amy Coney Barrett's People of Praise embraces many of the same gender and political beliefs. While obviously Barrett works outside of the home, she has been in a subservient role within the belief system. #ChristianNationalists
Here is a blog from 2017 in which someone discusses their personal experiences growing up among #ChristianNationalists and the hope that people put in #MikePence #religion https://www.autostraddle.com/i-was-trained-for-the-culture-wars-in-home-school-awaiting-someone-like-mike-pence-as-a-messiah-367057/
#ChristianNationalists. #Quiverfull Though children are kept out of most nongroup activities, they participate in such groups as Generation Joshua, TeenPact,6 and
debate groups, which prepare them for social roles (Butler, 2013). The
emphasis of many activities is on strong debating skills, so that the
Joshua Generation can convince others of the superiority of their way
of life, or at least win access to political power.
