@DJNoneYa True story about George Maharis: when he and Martin Milner starred in "Route 66", the two were dead ringers for Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady, respectively. This cannot have been a coincidence.
Another interesting fact: the Corvette that Milner drove was supposed to be his sole significant possession, inherited from his father. However, he miraculously got a new Vette every six months. That's because the series was sponsored by Chevrolet, so the Vette had to be the latest model.
