Alaska U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski wins reelection
Murkowski beat Trump-backed challenger Kelly Tshibaka by more than seven points after ranked choice votes were tabulated.

Again, ranked voting achieved the most moderate candidate.
Murkowski (her father is an Alaskan political legend) was almost assured of winning because she won before as an independent due to ranked voting.
@J_Windrow i am of the opinion that ranked voting is going to be our best way out of this mess, nationwide. it allows us to better vote by policy not party.
@silent_dystopia @J_Windrow #repdonbeyer Ranked voting for Senate and governor candidates, yes. For the House of Representatives, I like this idea much better. https://beyer.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx
@KamloopsBob @J_Windrow you posted an incomplete link.. the url ends in .aspx but should have a question mark and a DocumentID after it.
Is this the article you meant to link, about the Fair Representation Act?

@KamloopsBob @J_Windrow oh well isnt that interesting. CoSo sanitized the link. π
I'm guessing that you're referring to ...aspx?DocumentID=5276
@KamloopsBob @J_Windrow multi-member districts and ranked choice voting.. interesting.
one big problem, though.. Moore vs. Harper (2023) could seriously monkeywrench any attempts to regulate or legislate fair federal elections, as I understand it. All depends on which way the Court goes.
