The main takeaway I get from the debates is simple: Kamala Harris is smart and highly skilled at what she does.
TFG, on the other hand, is really, really stupid.
This isn't a novel observation, but I was really struck during the debate at how TFG just had no idea what he was talking about. Neither he nor his followers are aware of this because he compensates for his ignorance by making bullsh*t up on the fly, based on random misinformation and whatever sounds good or is convenient.
This really stuck out when TFG was making the claim (which I haven't seen anybody address yet) that a President can just "sign a bill" to close the border.
The man squatted in the Oval Office for four years. In all that time, I guess he never grasped how the position he nominally held actually worked. That you cannot "sign a bill" if there is no bill. That a President cannot unilaterally make laws. The ignorance is astonishing *and* dangerous to democracy.
If he lands in the WH again he won't really be the president. He will be a puppet with others making all decisions and crafting documents for his signature.
