Is it wrong that I would like some of the quarter sticks of dynamite would get stuck in the launch tube?
Dog has been sedated for 2 days now. Tired of people celebrating their "freedom" by blowing crap up in a residential area.
@Spagesgallo1 @KGinKS It's awful around my area too. We can't even think of leaving today, NYE, etc. If we're here he just kind of looks at us for guidance but I'd never leave him alone. Not to mention, where we are, the fire risk. It's nuts. I don't know why anyone thinks it's OK.
My pup hides in the wife's clothes closet with a bunch of bedding under the lower hanging clothes.
She's been sedated 3 times in the last 24 hours.
@KGinKS I'm so sorry that's awful. I really just wish these folks would stop. Mine's sleeping now - we're not quite at sunset yet in LA. Gearing up for a night of "good boy" and "it's fine" but I'm glad he's not so bad as to need the meds. I've had others who have before and I know it's no fun. Good luck.
Oh damn! Poor baby is absolutely tortured, despite having a safe place in your wife's closet and being sedated! 😢💔 Why do people have to be such freaking assholes? Drunken assholes to boot! 🤬
Where we moved to, it's no better. They just started a little while ago! Where we are is also an area that is at high risk for fires! We also have a large population of families in our complex who have dogs. I can't imagine what they are going through right now! You are both responsible dog owners by staying home with them to help them get through this madness. It's totally nuts. I don't see why anyone thinks it's OK either! It's illegal in NY, but here we are.
Things started at 9 am and is still going strong at 8 pm.
That's totally insane! At 9am??? It must feel like being in a war zone. No wonder why your pup is so traumatized! FFS! I can hear it getting pretty crazy by us. This may sound terrible. But I actually wish it would rain every 4th of July just to avoid this BS!
I've been in a war zone. It was much quieter.
Given how crazy people have gotten with shooting off fireworks almost all year long, I believe you about a war zone being much quieter!
Despite them being illegal here in NY, I actually saw a sign last week directing people to where they could buy fireworks! WTF???

Aww, I actually thought that was what you meant for it to be a dud! I'm not well versed in pyrotechnics! But I totally get what you mean! I wouldn't have a problem with the rocket not working and blowing the launch pad back to China either! So, you're giving me way too much credit. I don't like fireworks because of the noise. My heart breaks for fur babies and veterans with PTSD. I can't imagine..
@KGinKS Sympathies to your pups and all of you. It gets noisy here at dark and lasts till late at night but it’s nowhere near as bad as it was in the old neighborhood. We had one house that shot off firecrackers and M-80s all year long. They would get especially obnoxious as the weather got warmer.
