Gaetz is right about a couple things (a couple).
The people expect Congress to work more than 4 days a week.
The country would be better off with the appropriations bills all being passed instead of CRs and omnibus spending.
They shouldn't take as many home work days as they do. There is a week away for the 4th of July. After being back for a week they then break for the last half of July, all of August and the first week ot so of September. WTF.
Agreeing with Gaetz makes me sick
And I think there are fundamental things that are nonstarters for democrats.
Abortion
Opposition to lgbtq
Tax policy
SS and Medicare
Gun control
Some policy difference is fine but stripping people of rights is not.
Oh, and absolutely right, McCarthy is not a leader.

I also found myself strangely agreeing with many of those same things as I listened today.
Even with the vast differences, it makes me think there really is some room for compromise between the parties on a few things.
That would take true leadership to bring about. And McCarthy surely isn't it.
But it was also very clear that GOP and Dem values are worlds apart on fundamental things.
