So Iβm trying really hard to figure this one out:
Back in August, my kid (just turned 18) got her Montana state ID. Issued by the state of Montana.
Today I get a call saying there is an issue with the ID and the verifying documents stating she is a resident of Montana are not valid.
I took them a letter of care, homeschool paperwork filed with the state and a rental agreement that listed her as a minor.
WTF else could they possible need?
@StonedElf Sounds fishy to me. Why would they phone you? Did they ask you for info over the phone?
Alternatively, might it have something to do with your state's "Real ID" - the enhanced identification that will be required nationwide?
@StonedElf Maybe it's about enhanced id. When I had to provide documentation for my drivers license, it was like an intense background check. They wanted all sorts of validation. Glad that you feel like it's legit. π
