i need a little advice please:
lately, the roof of my mouth has sore spots when i've eaten 'hard food'. for instance, eating a lumberjack sandwich where the french crusty bread hit the roof of my mouth when biting.
then a sore spot develops on the roof of my mouth for a few days that is sore & tender.
i try to bite a little diff or chew to avoid hitting the tender spots. but this never used to happen.
is this another shitty getting old thing? is there any way to speed up healing?
@singlemaltgirl That happens to me, too. Sounds like it's ok if it resolves on its own. Mention to DDS at your next appt -- or if you have been seeing same one for long term, phone office & ask for advice. Skin does thin after menopause; I am always wounding myself and now it shows visibly -- bruises, arms, legs... ugh ๐
@Julie_in_FL omg. yes! i used to slam into things w/ just a twinge. now i get full on bruises & think wtaf? where did that come from?
menopause has taught me that i am really fucking clumsy. ๐
@singlemaltgirl LOL, me too! But I do know this about me!
Gnarly story -- when I was 17 yo, was camping w/bf (didn't know I was LGBT then), ran out of propane in middle of cooking burgers. BF went in search of more propane & I decided to chop wood for fire.
First swing got my big toe - fractured bone. BF returned w/propane and we diverted to ER.
(xrays, tetanus shot, 2-3 stitches; excrutiating pain and swelling overnight in tent). Don't remember if we finally had burgers LOL #KLUTZ
@singlemaltgirl Yeah, I can still see the scar. Love camping -- and at that time I was enjoying spending time w/bf away from parent ๐คฃ
